こんにちは！４月を迎え、新しく何かが動き出す月になり
みなさんあわただしい日々をお過ごしではないでしょうか？
私事ですが、勝手ながら来月からしばらく産休でこちらのサイトをお休みさせて
いただきますので、産休前の最後のチャレンジになります！

Denaです。

Hi! My name is Dena. I am a 31 yr. old SAHM to my daughter Zoë who is 8. I have been scrapbooking for the past 5 years in the traditional sense but after literally digging through my hope chest at home, I unearthed several scrapbooks that I had completely forgotten about! So I guess I was bitten by the bug by the time I was in second grade.

I love scrapbooking and everything it encompasses. It is such a great outlet both emotionally and artistically. I am so proud and lucky to work for Webster's Pages as both a design team member and their Community Coordinator as well as being a design team member for Shimmerz Paints and Scarlet Lime Kit Club. I am surrounded by some of the most amazingly creative and caring people and really do feel blessed!

タイトルの通り、色の使い方がともかく美しいです。とてもバランスが取れて、見る度にvividと感じさせられます。その上、今回のスケッチとテーマに非常にうまくこなしていると思います。レイヤーの見せ方と写真の選び方が特に目立ちます、まさしく雑誌の切り抜き、一つのstoryのように読ませていただきました。

たくさんのご応募の中に、もっともスケッチに「充実に」「シンプル」で作られたかと思います。ＰＰのpattern (模様）を利用して、写真のよさとタイトルとなる部分をとても簡潔に伝えたと思います。重点となる左下の部分をお花の代わりに、ＰＰの模様を生かしてシンプルな丸を二つで表現するところもまた面白しくて、全体のかわいらしさをますます引き立ていますね。

Hi friends there,

My name is Joei. I am origin from Hong Kong but currently living in Tokyo with my 11 years old boy and husband. Being an owner of a homey gallery and creative space in Tokyo, DT and Endorsed Artist-teacher of Prima since 2008, I am desperately enjoying the time with my papers, scissors and pen. You may surprise how little experience I have so far in the world of scrapbooking but I truly believe this actually became my greatest excuse to create out-of-the-box projects combining my expertise at western calligraphy and graphic design.


I am so much looking forward to seeing your submission and hope my sketch will give you enough room to tell your story, play with dimension, journal your beloved photos. It has been a great pleasure to meet new people through all these creative activities. Taking this chance to express my thanks, I am honored to be invited to participate in Scrap In Japan.

Scrap In Japanの皆さんへ：


こんにちは！Joei（ジョウイ）と申します。
今回はScrap In Japanにゲストデザインーとしてお声をかけていただき、とても光栄です！実は私の12インチは数えるほどの「限定品」です、笑。普段は主にジャーナルやミニブックなどを制作しています。元々カリグラフィーやデジタルグラフィックなどに興味があり、「デザイン力」の全般を求めるスクラップブッキングの世界にどこまで表現できるかを興味津津の今です。昨年プリマのＤＴとEndorsed Artist-teacher仲間に入れさせていただいたお蔭で、今回を含めて様々な新しい出会えができて、本当に嬉しいです。
今回のチャレンジはレイヤーも写真もジャーナルも沢山載せられて、とても欲張りなスケッチを作ってみました。透明の素材を生かしたり、レイヤーの間の空間を増やたりして、平面の枠に超えて、一つの「Story」として読んでいただければ幸いです。では、皆さんのストーリを今から物凄く楽しみにしています。

This layout by Poki had all the elements of a fun layout. The cut-outs are well placed and the embellishments blended well with the page in such a way that it was so detailed yet it still has a good amount of white space. A really fun and charming page.

いよいよchallenge 16です！今回も多くの方からの応募があることを
祈ってます。

さて今回も素敵なゲストデザイナーさんをお招きしました。

Iris Babao Uy さんです。



I am a scrapper from The Philippines, a wife, and a mother to two sweet girls Nicole who is five years old, and Cheska who just turned one. I rarely plan my pages –

I am fortunate to be designing for Prima Marketing, Webster’s Pages, and October Afternoon. I am also part of two scrapbook inspiration sites: Pencil Lines, and Creative Therapy. One of the things I consider to be among my accomplishments in the crafting industry is to have been named as one of the 2008 Memory Makers Magazine Masters. I am honored to have my work published in magazines and books. I am thankful for the blessings which have come my way as an artist and will continue to be thankful for the happiness and fulfillment that I get from this craft. I am now focusing on creating and teaching scrapbooking classes and would love to be able to visit Japan one day and meet all the wonderful scrappers in your country. I feel privileged to have been invited as a guest designer for Scrap In Japan. I look
